KiddyDot: Baby Feeding & Sleep Terms of Use

Effective date: 6 November 2026

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your use of the KiddyDot: Baby Feeding & Sleep iPhone application (the "App") provided by KiddyDot ("we", "us", "our"). By installing or using the App you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

The App is intended for parents and guardians who are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live). It is not intended for use by children. By using the App you confirm you meet this requirement.

2. What the App does

The App lets you record and review your baby's care (for example feeding, diapers, sleep, nursing, growth), keep diary entries and photos, view charts and reminders, and optionally share records with one partner. Partner sharing is free for everyone. Free and paid Premium versions are offered; the paid Premium version shows no ads at all.

3. Not medical advice

The App is a record-keeping and organization tool only. Nothing in the App - including growth charts, statistics, reminders, wake-window tips, age-based content, or the WHO growth charts - is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for a doctor, midwife, health visitor, or other qualified professional. Every child grows differently. Always seek professional advice for your child's health, feeding, sleep, or growth, and never delay or ignore professional advice because of something in the App. If you are worried about your child, contact a medical professional or emergency services.

4. Your data and your responsibilities

Your records and photos belong to you. By default they are stored on your device; we do not keep a copy of device-local data and cannot restore it if your device is lost, damaged, or the App is uninstalled. Photos never leave your device, and the face and hair cutouts used in the App's scenes are made by software running entirely on your phone.

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for keeping your device secure.

Growth charts are based on World Health Organization (WHO) child growth standards, used under a written WHO permission (reference 202611465) as reference only. The App shows WHO's required citations with the charts, does not alter the WHO data, and does not use the WHO name or logo or imply WHO endorsement. Ads are not shown in connection with the WHO growth charts.

5. Partner sharing

You may invite one partner to share a baby's records. Partner sharing is free for everyone. Only invite someone you trust: either partner can view, add, edit, and delete the shared records.

Shared records are synced through Google Firebase (anonymous Authentication and Cloud Firestore), with the database in Google's Hong Kong region (asia-east2). Photos and face cutouts never sync - they stay on each partner's own device. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what is shared and how it is protected.

No email, no account: each partner is identified by a pseudonymous, app-generated ID (a Firebase anonymous user ID), and the invite code is stored only as a hash (a scrambled fingerprint). We do not receive or store your email address or name for sharing.

You are responsible for the people you invite. We are not responsible for what your invited partner does with shared data. You can stop sharing in the App's settings; when sharing stops, the shared cloud records are deleted from Firebase. Copies already on your partner's device stay on their device until they delete them.

You must not use sharing to store or transmit anything unlawful, or information about anyone without the right to share it.

6. Premium (paid) version

Premium is an optional paid upgrade that removes ads and unlocks additional features. It is sold through Apple's in-app purchase, monthly or yearly; prices are shown in the App and on the App Store listing before you buy.

Payment, renewal, and cancellation are handled by Apple. Apple processes the payment; we do not receive or store your card number or payment details, only a purchase status so the App can unlock paid features. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID subscription settings. Refunds are subject to Apple's refund policies.

When a subscription ends, Premium features and ad removal stop; your records are not deleted.

7. Advertising (free version)

The free version is supported by advertising served by Google AdMob, the only ad provider in the App at launch. You agree to the display of ads in the free version. The paid Premium version shows no ads at all.

Ads are personalised only if you allow tracking in Apple's "Allow tracking?" prompt. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", ads are non-personalised. You can change your choice at any time in iPhone Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking. The App is not offered in the countries of the European Union. Users in the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway and Iceland see Google's consent form before personalised ads and can change their choice in the App's Privacy options.

AdMob is set to the strictest content rating (general audiences), which blocks adult and mature ad content. No data about your child - care records, diary entries, baby profile details, photos, or face cutouts - is sent to AdMob or any ad partner.

Analytics and crash reporting: The App does not use analytics or crash-reporting services and does not collect analytics or crash-reporting data. Google's AdMob data collection for advertising, described above, and Apple's in-app purchase processing are separate.

8. Acceptable use

You must not: misuse the App or interfere with its operation; attempt to reverse engineer it except where the law allows; use it for any unlawful purpose; infringe anyone's rights; or share another person's or child's information without authority to do so.

9. Intellectual property

The App, its design, artwork, animations, and text are owned by or licensed to KiddyDot and protected by intellectual property laws. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for its intended purpose. You keep all rights to the records, photos, and content you create in the App.

10. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent the law allows. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that records will never be lost - keep your own backups of anything important. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of data, or decisions made in reliance on the App, including anything covered by the "Not medical advice" clause. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (for example for death or personal injury caused by negligence).

12. Changes and termination

We may update the App and these Terms from time to time; material changes will be posted at https://kiddydot.pages.dev/terms.html or in the App. We will change the effective date at the top when we update them. If you do not agree with an update, stop using the App; if you keep using it, the new Terms apply to your use after the update. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end access for breach of these Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong, and the courts of Hong Kong have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer rights in your place of residence.
